Aligning regular and italicised text

Adobe Caslon Pro is a beautiful type when italicised, but a nagging issue of alignment kept bothering me. Somehow the italicised type looked like it was sitting to the right of the main text, even so slightly. Like this:
Notice the inverted commas before the 5,000 look as if they're sitting to the right of the main body text, but the S of Sarejevo looks aligned.

I have changed the layout slightly, so that the eye sees an alignment between the inverted comma and the main text instead.
Bosnian
English

The m in 'moglo' sits slightly to the left of the main text, but if we look at the panel zoomed out, if looks much better. The previous post has a screen shot of 3 PDFs that have all had the alignment changed.

Zoomed out to 17%
