Time line for design - Bosnia

After an online meeting with Leora last night (which we agree is pretty awesome to be able to do!), we have mapped out a rough timeline for the design of the Bosnian exhibition.
I also have an image of where it will be (the BBI Centar in Sarajevo). This is an architects drawing of it. We're trying to find out if those lights at the front are also flag poles, because it would be great to have five flags advertising the presence of the exhibition. We're waiting to hear back.

BBI Centar in Sarajevo, Bosnia, where The Rescuers will be shown.

As I mentioned in the last post, the exhibition is due to open on the 14th July. We'll be working back to get our time line:

  • 14 July - exhibition opening
  • 11 July - exhibition set up
  • 1-10 July - printing (this is yet to be defined, as we don't know how long the printing and construction will take. We have discussed leaving a few days either side to allow for mishaps - of which, of course there will be none!)
  • June - editing and final changes to designs. All have to be checked by the translators in Bosnia.
  • 11-30 May - design layout. Text to be dropped in once translations are complete.
  • 5-10 May - design prototypes - this will also be the time for collecting the last of the images I don't yet have (2 for Bosnia) and making final selections for type. Projection at 100% to help determine if there are any issues of legibility.
Set up of exhibition
8 Bosnian panels
6 Rwandan Panels
4 Holocaust Panels
2 Cambodian panles
4 Information panels

Cambodia
I had a thought about the Cambodian design last night. We might run into the same problem of layout that we did with the original exhibition if we use the roll up screens (that is, that the bottom will be too low to read). BUT, what if we hang them upside down from the wall, so that the bottom of them is about thigh height? Just a thought...
